Alarms

The Alarms feature expands the Asset Notification feature to be an 'Alarm' mechanism with several alarm situations.
Unlike the Asset Notification feature, Alarms are created only if a user has defined an Alarm Type.  The Alarm Type defines the Location, Situation and Alarm Level which will enable one or more Alarms to be created when the Situation is triggered.

There are 2 basic alarm categories: Alarms that are triggered by a date and those that are triggered by an action a user or web service has performed in the OBTAIN database.  At this time there are 2 dates that can cause alarm triggers:  the Asset Notification Date mentioned in the previous section and the Lease Expiry date.  (Both set on the Warranty/Maintenance page of the Asset Dialog).
