Asset Notifications

Data center operations often need to notify the "owners" of assets impacted when a Switch is shut down.┬á This new feature adds a list view to the Ethernet Switch and Router component pages of a Device.┬á The list contains the type, name, serial number and contact names for each asset with a data path connection directly to/from the switch. A user is able to click a new "Notify Asset Contacts" button which opens a dialog to compose an email and send it to the selected asset contacts.┬á Click on this link to view a short video explaining the notifications feature along with a click-by-click tutorial on how to make sure OBTAIN has all the information required to fully utilize this feature.
